Arriving in Guilin

Our hotel in Guilin, the Guilin Bravo Hotel, was a modern high-rise Chinese hotel. However, its location, directly in front of an incredible park along the banks of the Lí Jiang (or Li River), was wonderful.
The park was decorated with charming stone animal benches including these darling pig benches.
The beautiful Li River and its many tributaries, including the Peach Blossom, Xiao Dong and Taohuajiang Rivers, snake throughout all of Guilin. Everywhere you look there are lovely bridges and parks alongside water.
The Li Jiang River originates from the Mao'er (Cat) Mountain in Xing'an County, the tallest peak in South China, then meanders for 437 kilometers; passing through poetic and picturesque Guilin.
