CommentsBy now you should be knee deep in eastern European culture. One of teh most diverse and unique parts of the world in my opion. With the conflicting influences of west and east crashing into eachother in the balkins it makes for some interesting combinations. Have fun...hope to hear from once or twice. Later Jeremy
CommentsHope you're having a great time. Can't wait to see some of the cool pictures. Bring me back a some shot glass. Jennafer
CommentsHi, Can you send me Nina's phone # or e-mail address? Hope you're having fun. Keep in touch. Love Mom
CommentsHey everybody. I just wanted to let all of you know that I'm doing fine so far. I'm in Krakow now and just spent an amazing 3 days in Gdansk with my friend Dorota. I had so much fun there that I didn't want to leave. I'll be here for another 2 days and then heading to Prague on Thursday. I hope you're all doing well. Chris
Comments6/6/02 Hi Chris, I am definitely impressed with your itinerary and detailed planning. (already a web page started, wow...) So seen anything weird or scary or anti-American? Gotten any weird looks or comments? What is your favorite city so far and why? Are places more or less like you expected, or better or worse? How are the people? Are you meeting other travelers and locals along the way or mostly keeping to yourself? Are you going to ship back any souvenirs? (If you find something super cool along the way that you don't think I can live without, feel free to ship it to me and I'll reimburse you.) Glad you made it safely there and enjoyed your visit with Dorota. Too many questions, not enough time to ask them all. Stay safe, experience the most culture you can and most of all, enjoy yourself! --Kathy p.s. The Bolder Boulder pic is awesome! You do look pretty damn cool, I have to admit :)
CommentsWell, since my train tickets were stolen in Prague I'm going to be taking a plane from Budapest to Istanbul this afternoon (Thursday, the 13th). In case you hear of a Turkish airlines plane crash, I'm on flight 1438 from Budapest to Istanbul leaving at 17:00 (Hungarian time), arriving at 19:55 (Turkish time). Budapest has been a lot of fun but pretty gruelling. I went caving yesterday and got a little bit beat up in the caves. I'm doing okay but just want a day to relax now :-) Chris
CommentsHope things clear up for you, watch out for those rocks they tend to hurt!! ;-) JB
CommentsChris I see that you haven't posted anything in a couple of days - Is everything OK????? Just your worried sister (I think I am starting to take after mom and it's scary)
CommentsHiya!!! Cheers for taking your didgital camera underground for the caving in Budapest! I'm looking forward to seeing them when you stick them up. Hope all's well, happy trails, Iain (the kiwi guy who u were talking websites to just before we entered the cave and all light stopped!!!!!)
CommentsHey Iain! Thanks for remembering the website address. As soon as you took off from the little restaurant I realized that I forgot to get your e-mail address. I got everybody else's on the way back to Budapest. I'll be getting the pictures up here over the next few weeks...it's a process. Send me your e-mail address and I'll let you know when the caving pictures are up (boomshnka@yahoo.com). I hope all is well in the southern hemisphere. Chris
CommentsHey everybody. I've got over half of the pictures up now. You can see all of my adventures through Budapest. I'm hoping that I can finish up Turkey and Greece next week. I've really got a system going now so it's much faster than the first 2 days of Poland which took me two days to put up on the web. Enjoy!! Chris
CommentsAll of the pictures are posted now. Enjoy!! Chris
CommentsI WILL LIKE TO HAVE MORE OF FRIENDS AND E-MAIL ADDRESSES
CommentsI do not see any picture from Sopot-Poland.Can you tell me why? I'm from sopot. All of the pictures are from Gdansk. Thank you if you can fix or find pictures from sopot.
CommentsHey Chris! It's Kelly Bahr. Jen (your sister) gave me your website. I hope all is going well. Johnny Logalbo had told me that he came out an visited you, which is great! I just wanted to say Hi! And that the pictures are great! Oh, and Congratulations on your engagement! That's great news!
CommentsI enjoyed your pictures very much. I grew up in Istanbul in the 50s before the advent of urban sprawl but your pictures captured with great clarity the city I remember fondly. Thanks for the trip. Kabul was rough in the 70s; I don't think it's much improved. Ken Roberts Pryor, Montana gaberlunzie@juno.com
