June 12, 2002 - Budapest

I spent the morning in the city park.  I loved it there.  I was able to lay out and get some sun, read, take a nap, and get a cheap lunch and some ice cream.  I wandered around until I found the Vajdahunyad Castle on an island in the city park.  I made it to Heroes Square and then hung out at the hostel for a few hours.

A parting view of the Vajdahunyad Castle. I was much more impressed with this tiny castle than with the Budapest Castle. The Budapest Castle seemed too much like a town with all the cars and the new hotel.
