June 5, 2002 - Krakow
My last day in Poland was pretty relaxing. I slept in and then walked through the old town again and sat in the square and read for a long while. I think I got through more of Don Quixote on this day than any other.

The Florian Gate

Florianska Street was where most of the more swanky shops and restaurants were located in old town Krakow

The Barbican, a medieval defensive structure

A view of the Florian Gate from the outside

Artists were allowed to set up shop and sell their works along the city wall

The Juliusz Slowacki Theatre

A church for which I'm not able to find a name...I was starting to get a little burned out on going to churches at this point. The Prague castle cathedral, two days later, was the last one that I visited extensively.

I was sitting next to the Cloth Hall in the Market Square reading my book when this troupe of medieval dancers showed up and started doing lots of little performances. They were really good and you might not know it from this picture, but they're all young girls.

Look at them go!!
